Now Now Hughes
Shane Higgs the United goalkeeper here holds Back Midfielder Andy Hughes from confronting the Gillingham goalkeeper. The Gills goalkeeper had previously been goading the United fans who were behind his goal and Mr. Hughes doesn't take too kindly to that. The shot coming after the Football League First Division game against Gillingham at the Priestfield Stadium on the 17th April, 2010. Andy was replaced after 56 minutes in the game by Defender Ben Parker.

Andrew Hughes was signed by Dennis Wise on the 9th August, 2009 for an undisclosed fee. Hughes's natural position is on the right side of midfield although his versatility allows him to be comfortable across all the midfield, Hughes has also sufficiently filled both full back positions. Popular with the fans Hughes is not scared of a challenge and has the ability to rally the team on. "...Dennis Wise told me the challenge and the position the club was in. He wants fighters and I felt the challenge of playing for Leeds United..."

Match report to follow.

Subs: Parker for Hughes, Beckford for Snodgrass, Watt for Becchio.
