Stephen Warnock nets his first ever goal for Leeds United here, from the spot in front of the South Stand at Elland Road. The shot coming from the Football League Championship game against Millwall at Elland Road on the 2nd March, 2013. Warnock played the full game and scored the only goal of the game against the Lions.
Manager Neil Warnock signed Stephen Warnock on a free transfer on the deadline day of the 2012-13 transfer window. Coming from Aston Villa the defender signed a two and half-year contract for The Whites. Going straight into the squad he made his debut in the Football League Championship game against Wolverhampton Wanderers at Molineux on the 9th February. Four games later Warnock scored his first goal for Leeds from the spot, against Millwall at Elland Road on the 2nd March. Warnock turned down Premier League West Ham United to come to the club, the United manager Neil Warnock told the official site after the signing, "He is a former international who, for whatever reason, has been allowed to leave Aston Villa, "He's a player I've tried to sign a few times before and I'm pleased he turned down West Ham to come here."
