United's local Defender Andy O'Brien here and the Senegalese trialist Amdy Faye at the back in anticipation of a Coventry corner. The shot coming from the Football League Championship game against Coventry City at the Ricoh Arena on the 6th November, 2010. Andy played the full ninety minutes in the game against the West Midlands outfit while Amdy Faye was replaced by Bradley Johnson after 61 minutes.
Manager Simon Grayson initially brought Andrew O'Brien in on a months loan from Bolton Wanderers on the 29th October, 2010. The move to Elland Road was the second time around for O'Brien, he started his footballing career at Leeds Utd and was released 17 years previous as a 14 year old to Bradford City. After impressing the manager with his performances the loan period was extended on the 24th November, 2010 to reach to 4th January, 2011 during which time O'Brien expressed desires to make his loan period made permanent. By the 30th December, 2010 manager Grayson confirmed he wanted the player permanently and on the 1st January, 2011 O'Brien signed a permanent two and a half year contract turning down a lucrative offer from Cardiff City into the bargain. Amdy Faye played eight games for Leeds United after coming in on trial from Stoke City in September 2010. Faye signed a permanent deal on the 9th September, 2010 until January, 2011 with an option of extending it further at the end. The player put in some impressive performances for The Whites but eventually lost his place in United's first eleven to Bradley Johnson who had found his form. On the 12th January, 2011 it was revealed by the club that Faye's contract would not be renewed and he left the club.
