Description:
Robert Snodgrass United's Scottish International Striker and Bradley Johnson the English Midfielder ponder over a free kick here on the Emirates pitch. The shot coming during the FA Cup 3rd Round tie against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on the 8th January, 2011. Both Snodgrass and Johnson played the full ninety minutes for Leeds against the North London outfit, Snoddy also scored from the spot in the game.
Gary McAllister beat a host of other clubs when he signed the highly rated Robert Snodgrass in late July, 2008 from Scottish outfit Livingston on a three year contract. After some excellent match winning performances 'Snoddy' soon established himself as one of Grayson's automatic choices for his first eleven and with two years left on his current contract he was offered a new four year deal with United at the beginning of the 2009-10 season. The Members Club Player of the Year for 2008-09 was delighted with the offer. "It`s been great since I came down here last summer and I really love the club. From the fans to the back-room staff and the other players..." Dennis Wise signed Bradley Johnson from Northampton Town on the 8th January, 2008 in a three year deal for a fee of 250,000 pounds. Johnson found it hard to find his place under new manager Gary McAllister and had a two month loan spell with Brighton and Hove Albion during the 2008-09 season which ended on 3rd January, 2009 Johnson scored 4 goals in 10 games for Brighton. Johnson returned to Leeds and has since established himself as one of Grayson's first choices for one of United's midfield spots. Leeds United: Schmeichel, Connolly, O'Brien, Bruce, Parker, Johnson, Howson, Gradel, Snodgrass, Watt, Becchio. Subs: Bromby for Watt, Somma for Becchio, Hughes for Gradel.
