Description:
Billy Paynter the United Striker on the Elland Road Park for The Whites, taking a breather during a rest in play. Billy replaced Luciano Becchio in the game against the North Lincolnshire outfit after 46 minutes.
The United manager Simon Grayson signed Billy Paynter on the 2nd June, 2010 for three years on a Bosman free transfer. The player coming from Swindon Town was given the coveted number nine shirt for United taking over from former Striker Jermaine Beckford. Paynter picked up an injury in United's pre-season campaign which ruled him out for the rest of the campaign and for the first three months of the 2010-11 season. On 30th October, 2010 Paynter was back from injury making his debut appearance for the Leeds first team in the Football League Championship away game against Scunthorpe United. He made his home debut for the Whites on the 9th November, 2010 coming on as substitute in the game against Hull City.
