Pontefract born and life long Leeds fan Ben Parker started his career with Leeds United joining the Whites Youth Academy in 1995. At the start of season 2006-07 manager Kevin Blackwell let the player go on loan to Bradford City where he made his first professional debut. In December 2006 the new manager Dennis Wise extended Parker's loan period with the goal of the player gaining more experience. Wise offered Ben a new contract for Leeds on May 18th, 2007 which was signed on the 7th August, 2007. Parker finally made his full debut for Leeds in a Football League Cup win over Macclesfield on the 14th August, 2007. Just four days later he made his League debut as substitute in a 4-1 win against Southend United. Parker made 15 appearances for Leeds in the season of 2007-08 before he was loaned out again to Darlington but returned to Elland Road for the season of 2008-09. Strong performances from Ben in his Left Back position for the 2008-09 season instilled new confidence in the manager Simon Grayson and on the 8th July, 2009 he signed an extension to his contract which will see him at Elland Road until the end of the 2011/12 season. Ben Parker also won an award at Leeds United's player of the year for the season 2009-10. A Special Chairman's Award was given to Parker by Ken Bates after injury ruined his season.
