The shot coming from the Football League Championship game against Coventry City at Elland Road on the 5th February, 2011. All three players played the full ninety minutes for Leeds in the game against the West Midlands outfit.

Simon Grayson the United manager initially brought in George McCartney on a months loan from Sunderland on the 23rd September, 2010. On the 4th October it was announced that the loan deal would be extended for two days so he could play in the Championship game against Cardiff City. His loan deal was again extended on the 30th October for another month and further extended for a third time on the 1st December. McCartney returned to Sunderland on the 30th December but on the 14th January, 2011 during the transfer window United re-signed McCartney in a loan deal that would keep the player at Elland Road for the remainder of the 2010-11 season.

Ivorian Max Gradel was brought in from Leicester City by manager Simon Grayson for a month loan deal on the 19th October, 2009. Max made an impressive start for the Whites winning the Man of the Match award for Leeds after coming on as substitute in a 2-1 win over Norwich City at Elland Road on the very same day as his move. On the 13th November, 2009 after several more impressive performances for Leeds Grayson extended Gradels loan period to reach up to the 2nd January, 2010. Further into the season of 2009-10 and Grayson was again prompted to extend Gradels loan period after some crucial match winning performances for the Whites but after a 4-2 win against Stockport County manager Grayson confirmed he had begun talks with all the parent clubs of United's loan players and shortly after on the 25th January, 2010 Gradel was signed by Leeds in a two-and-a-half-year contract for an undisclosed fee.

Dennis Wise signed Bradley Johnson from Northampton Town on the 8th January, 2008 in a three year deal for a fee of 250,000 pounds. Johnson found it hard to find his place under new manager Gary McAllister and had a two month loan spell with Brighton and Hove Albion during the 2008-09 season which ended on 3rd January, 2009 Johnson scored 4 goals in 10 games for Brighton. Johnson returned to Leeds and has since established himself as one of Grayson's first choices for one of United's midfield spots.
