United were playing Oldham Athletic in the First Division clash on October 26th in their Championship winning season of 1991-92. United won the game courtesy of an Oldham own goal and kept the Championship dream alive in front of 28,199 fans, United winning the game 1-0. Leeds went on to win the First Division Championship Trophy of 1991-92 beating Manchester United into second place with four clear points and scoring 74 goals in the process.
