Description:
Luciano Becchio here in front of the Kop at Elland Road just a moment after he scored United's third goal of the day. The shot coming from the Football League Championship game against Doncaster Rovers at Elland Road on the 5th March, 2011. Luciano started for Leeds and scored United's third goal but was replaced on 80 minutes by Billy Paynter.
The Argentinian Becchio was signed by Gary McAllister on the 31st July, 2008 for three years. He impressed the manager with his performances during the 2007-08 pre-season friendlies while on loan from Spanish outfit Merida Union Deportiva. With some stellar performances for Leeds since his arrival he has made the number 10 shirt his own and become a fans favourite.
