Description:
United's Danish keeper Kasper Schmeichel eying his delivery spot here for Leeds in the Championship game against Millwall at Elland Road on the 21st August, 2010. Kasper played the full ninety minutes in the game for Leeds against the London outfit.
Kasper Schmeichel was manager Simon Grayson's first signing of the Summer of 2010 after United were promoted to the Championship. Leeds' manager Grayson beat off a host of other clubs to the Danish keeper's signature after he had kept 24 clean sheets for his former club Notts County and won the PFA League Two Player of the Year in the bargain. Schmeichel joined Leeds on a free transfer on the 1st July, 2010 in a contract that will last two years. He was handed the number One shirt for the 2010-11 season opener just edging out Shane Higgs who showed some good form in United's pre-season campaign. Leeds United: Schmeichel, Connolly, Collins, Naylor, Bessone, Kilkenny, Sam, Howson, Johnson, Becchio, Watt. Subs: Somma for Bessone, Hughes for Sam. Thanks to Mamf for this great pic.
