By this time Leeds United had already won the First Division Championship with a wonderful solo goal from Rod Wallace in front of 32,673 fans. This was the last ever First Division Championship before the Premier League took over, United won the league with 82 points beating rivals manchester United by four clear points. United only lost four games all season and scored 74 goals.
