The game played on March 28th, 1992 ended in a 0-0 draw in front of 31,101 fans. Gary Speed joined Leeds as a youngster and quickly progressed through the Youth Team to full team status. Emerging as the natural Left Wing choice in the promotion season of 1989-90. Speed made 288 full appearances for the Whites in all competitions and scored 57 goals. He left for Everton on July 1st 1996 for a fee of £350,0000.
