Mikael Forssell United's German born Forward teases the ball to fellow Front man Danny Webber here on the edge of the box in front of the Kop at Elland Road. The shot coming from the last Football League Championship game of the 2011-12 season against Leicester City at Elland Road on the 28th April, 2012. Both Forssell and Webber came on as subs for Leeds against the Foxes replacing Luciano Becchio and Zac Thompson respectively. Webber also scored a goal for United on 81 minutes.
After a successful trial with The Whites the United manager Simon Grayson signed up the German born Finnish International Mikael Forssell on the 8th September, 2011. The initial deal will last up until the end of the 2011-12 season. The Striker was given the number 18 shirt for Leeds and made his debut in the Championship game against Crystal Palace on the 10th September, 2011, replacing Andy Keogh on 58 minutes. Grayson commented after the move: "Mikael has been training with us for a few weeks now and we have seen what he is all about. He has shown his qualities and we know what he will bring. ...He is hungry and has a desire, and he will be a welcome addition to our squad." Danny Webber joined Leeds after a trial period on the 28th February, 2012 in a deal that would last until the end of the 2011-12 season. Webber was the first signing for the Leeds manager Neil Warnock and he made his debut in the home game against Southampton on the 3rd March, 2012. Webber scored his first goal for Leeds on the 28th April, 2012 after coming on as substitute in the home game against Leicester City.
