Doing A Robbie Stretch

Doing A Robbie Stretch

Description: Robbie Rogers United's American International Forward here caught during some pre match stretching exercises on the Elland Road pitch. The shot coming from the Football League Championship game against Peterborough United at Elland Road on the 14th April, 2012. Robbie started the game for Leeds but was taken off on twelve minutes after he suffered an ankle injury.

After a successful trial with The Whites the American Robbie Rogers was signed by manager Simon Grayson on the 10th January, 2012. After the move Rogers told that his national team coach Jurgen Klinsmann had initially provided Simon Grayson with good references. Robbie made his debut for Leeds on the 18th February, 2012 coming on as substitute in the home game against Doncaster Rovers. Only several minutes into his debut Rogers had to be substituted after he clashed heads with a player from the opposition. The injury kept Rogers out for several weeks. Rogers was deemed fit again in April and made his first start for the club in the game against Peterborough United at Elland Road on the 14th April, 2012. Again though Rogers was taken off prematurely this time an ankle injury that would rule him out for the rest of the season. Rogers remains in United's plans manager Neil Warnock is hoping the player will make a recovery for the start of the 2012-13 season.

Leeds United: Lonergan, Lees, Bromby, O'Dea, Taylor, Snodgrass, Clayton, Pugh, Rogers, Paynter, McCormack.
Subs: Webber for Rogers, Robinson for Taylor, Becchio for Paynter.
