Danny a firm favourite with the faithful in his time at Elland Road was signed by manager David O'Leary in 1999 for 4.1M. Danny later described his time at Leeds as a "dream move to the club I love." After United were relegated from the Premiership at the end of season 2003-04 Danny moved to Manchester City on a free.
