Description:
Eric Cantona the Frenchman here in action for United against West Ham United with Gary Speed keeping a close eye on proceedings. The shot coming from the First Division clash played at Elland Road on 28th March, 1992. The game came in the last quarter of the 1991-92 season and ended in a 0-0 draw, 31,101 fans turned up to watch the Whites in action. The draw didn't really help United in their Title challenge, at the time Leeds were behind Manchester United in the race for the top spot. After a superb finish to the season though Howard Wilkinson's men overtook the team from over the Pennines and finished league winners with four points to spare. A significant victory in that this was the last First Division Championship before the Premier League took over.
