Bust A Frame Kasper

Bust A Frame Kasper

Description: Kasper Schmeichel here United's Danish goalkeeper filling the frame of the pic. The shot taken from the Football League Championship game at Glanford Park against Scunthorpe United on the 30th October, 2010. Schmeichel played the full ninety minutes for Leeds in the game against the Lincolnshire outfit.

Kasper Schmeichel was manager Simon Grayson's first signing of the Summer of 2010 after United were promoted to the Championship. Leeds' manager Grayson beat off a host of other clubs to the Danish keeper's signature after he had kept 24 clean sheets for his former club Notts County and won the PFA League Two Player of the Year in the bargain. Schmeichel joined Leeds on a free transfer on the 1st July, 2010 in a contract that will last two years. He was handed the number One shirt for the 2010-11 season opener just edging out Shane Higgs who showed some good form in United's pre-season campaign.

Leeds United: Schmeichel, Connolly, O'Brien, Bruce, McCartney, Howson, Faye, Kilkenny, Gradel, Becchio, Snodgrass.
Subs: Johnson for Faye, Paynter for Becchio, Nunez for Snodgrass.

Thanks to Rowley for this great pic.
