Description:
Luciano Becchio United's Argentine Striker waiting for the ball to come upfield here on the Elland Road pitch. The shot coming from the Football League Championship game against Scunthorpe United at Elland Road on the 15th January, 2011. Luciano started for Leeds but was replaced by Billy Paynter after he received a knock on 46 minutes.
The Argentinian Becchio was signed by Gary McAllister on the 31st July, 2008 for three years. He impressed the manager with his performances during the 2007-08 pre-season friendlies while on loan from Spanish outfit Merida Union Deportiva. With some stellar performances for Leeds since his arrival he has made the number 10 shirt his own and become a fans favourite.
