Description:
Luciano Becchio United's Argentine Striker here stood in front of the goal at the Kop End at Elland Road in anticipation of a United corner. The shot coming from the Football League Championship game against Coventry City at Elland Road on the 5th February, 2011. Becchio started the game for Leeds against the West Midlands outfit but was replaced after 88 minutes by Billy Paynter.
The Argentinian Becchio was signed by Gary McAllister on the 31st July, 2008 for three years. He impressed the manager with his performances during the 2007-08 pre-season friendlies while on loan from Spanish outfit Merida Union Deportiva. With some stellar performances for Leeds since his arrival he has made the number 10 shirt his own and become a fans favourite.
