Submitted: 03/13/11
Description: Andrew O'Brien United's Irish Defender, Neil Kilkenny the Australian Midfielder and Robert Snodgrass the Scottish International Striker here pictured during a break in play on the Elland Road pitch. The shot coming from the Football League Championship game against Ipswich Town at Elland Road on the 12th March, 2011. All three of the players featured played the full ninety minutes for Leeds in the game against the Suffolk outift.

Manager Simon Grayson initially brought Andrew O'Brien in on a months loan from Bolton Wanderers on the 29th October, 2010. The move to Elland Road was the second time around for O'Brien, he started his footballing career at Leeds Utd and was released 17 years previous as a 14 year old to Bradford City. After impressing the manager with his performances the loan period was extended on the 24th November, 2010 to reach to 4th January, 2011 during which time O'Brien expressed desires to make his loan period made permanent. By the 30th December, 2010 manager Grayson confirmed he wanted the player permanently and on the 1st January, 2011 O'Brien signed a permanent two and a half year contract turning down a lucrative offer from Cardiff City into the bargain.

Neil Kilkenny was signed by Dennis Wise on the 4th January, 2008. Coming to Leeds United initially on an emergency loan to ensure his inclusion in the squad the following day. He made his debut for the Whites three days before he signed his contract and picked up the Man of the Match award to boot in that game against Northampton Town. By mid season 2008-09 after a run of impressive displays Kilkenny established himself as Grayson's number one choice for his favoured central midfield role. English born Kilkenny is an Australian International, he grew up in Brisbane, Australia after his family moved there when he was just a kid.

Gary McAllister beat a host of other clubs when he signed the highly rated Robert Snodgrass in late July, 2008 from Scottish outfit Livingston on a three year contract. After some excellent match winning performances 'Snoddy' soon established himself as one of Grayson's automatic choices for his first eleven and with two years left on his current contract he was offered a new four year deal with United at the beginning of the 2009-10 season. The Members Club Player of the Year for 2008-09 was delighted with the offer. "It`s been great since I came down here last summer and I really love the club. From the fans to the back-room staff and the other players..."

Leeds United: Schmeichel, Lichaj, O'Brien, Bromby, McCartney, Johnson, Kilkenny, Snodgrass, Howson, Gradel, Paynter.
Subs: Bannan for Howson, Becchio for Paynter.
