A Max Attack

Description: Max Gradel United's Ivorian Striker bears down on the Norwich goal here on the Carrow Road pitch with ten Norwich players already back in their box. The shot coming from the Football League Championship game against Norwich City at Carrow Road on the 20th November, 2010. Max started the game for Leeds and scored but was replaced after 85 minutes by Leeds born Lloyd Sam.

Ivorian Max Gradel was brought in from Leicester City by manager Simon Grayson for a month loan deal on the 19th October, 2009. Max made an impressive start for the Whites winning the Man of the Match award for Leeds after coming on as substitute in a 2-1 win over Norwich City at Elland Road on the very same day as his move. On the 13th November, 2009 after several more impressive performances for Leeds Grayson extended Gradels loan period to reach up to the 2nd January, 2010. Further into the season of 2009-10 and Grayson was again prompted to extend Gradels loan period after some crucial match winning performances for the Whites but after a 4-2 win against Stockport County manager Grayson confirmed he had begun talks with all the parent clubs of United's loan players and shortly after on the 25th January, 2010 Gradel was signed by Leeds in a two-and-a-half-year contract for an undisclosed fee.

Leeds United: Schmeichel, Connolly, Bruce, O'Brien, McCartney, Johnson, Kilkenny, Howson, Snodgrass, Becchio, Gradel.
Subs: Sam for Gradel, McCormack for Kilkenny, Collins for Becchio.
