Submitted: 06/25/13
Description: El Hadji Diouf here United's Senegalese Forward retrieves the ball from the sidelines before he takes a corner for The Whites. The shot coming from the Football League Championship game against Nottingham Forest at the City Ground on the 26th December, 2012. Diouf started the game for Leeds but was replaced on 65 minutes by Davide Somma.

The United manager Neil Warnock signed El Hadji Diouf the Senegalese international for the Whites on the 9th August, 2012 on a non-contract basis from Doncaster Rovers. Diouf is a controversial figure in the game and came to Elland Road carrying more than his fare share of baggage, the United manager himself referred to Diouf as being 'lower than a sewer rat' after an incident at Ewood Park which saw Jamie Mackie stretchered off with multiple fractures to his leg. The fans at Elland Road were initially split on the decision to sign the Senegal forward but despite that contention he will always get the faithful's support while he is giving 100% in a White shirt. Diouf made his debut appearance for Leeds coming on as substitute in the Football League Cup game against Shrewsbury Town on the 11th August, 2012.

Leeds United: Kenny, Byram, Tate, Lees, Drury, Green, Brown, Austin, Thomas, Becchio, Diouf.
Subs: Somma for Diouf, Pearce for Austin, McCormack for Byram.
