Alex Bruce here United's English Defender keeps his eyes to the left as United prepare to take a throw in. Alex played the full ninety minutes for The Whites in the game against the Tykes.
After being a long time target for Simon Grayson the United manager finally signed Alex Bruce from Ipswich Town for an undisclosed fee on the 30th July, 2010 on a two year deal, with the option for a further year. Alex's impressive debut came in the Championship game against Doncaster Rovers on the 17th September, 2010 in the season 2010-11. Manager Grayson.... "Alex is going to be a good member of the squad. He can play at centre-back, right-back, and as a holding midfielder... We felt we were short in those areas at this moment and we're delighted he's come... He's got a lot of experience, he's played in the Championship and the Premiership and he's what we want - a player who knows the division, is hungry and wants to be successful."
