Description:
The United faithful in numbers here, filling their allocation at the Mestella Stadium, Valencia in Spain for the 2nd leg Semi Final of the Champions League on the 2nd May, 2001. The first leg ended in a 0-0 draw which left United everything to do, ultimately the task would prove too much especially has Leeds were without the services of Lee Bowyer, the man who had proved so vital to Leeds' progression earlier in the competition. The game ended 3-0 to Valencia in front of a 53,000 capacity crowd and the valiant efforts of O'Leary's young Leeds United's Champions League campaign came to an end.
