Description: United fans fill their terraced allocation behind the goal here in the second division clash with Sheffield United at Brammall Lane in season 1984-85. Eddie Gray's men lost the game 2-1 with the Leeds goal coming from Andy Ritchie in front of a 21,468 attendance with a packed showing from the Leeds United fans. Unfortunately the board felt they couldn't wait for his team to develop. Desperate for promotion sooner rather than later Gray was sacked and the board faced a demonstration from the fans, a board member also resigned because of the sacking.
