United fans at the Carlsberg Tournament at Lansdowne Road in Dublin 1998. Four teams took part in The Carlsberg Trophy. Leeds United, Liverpool, Lazio and St Patrick's Athletic. United played Lazio in the first stage and beat them after extra time on penalties 4-2. It was Bowyer with an easy header in the second half of the first 90 mins who equalised to take the game to extra time. Lee Matthews scored the winning penalty for the Whites. Unfortunately Leeds lost the final against Liverpool by 2-0.
