Description:
United fans in full force here at the MK:Stadium home of the MK:Dons. Leeds were playing Milton Keynes Dons in a Football League First Division clash on December 20th, 2008. It wasn't a good afternoon for McAllister's men as the team lost 3-1, the Leeds goal coming from Robert Snodgrass. The defeat saw United slip to ninth position in the table and made it five straight defeats on the bounce which also included a FA Cup exit at the hands of non league Histon. This was too much for the United faithful and for chairman Ken Bates, McAllister was sacked after this defeat. 17,073 fans turned up for the game at the former Denbigh Stadium with over 4,000 cheering for the men in Blue.
