Description:
The Leeds United faithful here turn their backs after the days kick off to mark the anniversary of the death of Christopher Loftus and Kevin Speight. The shot coming from the Football League Championship game against Wigan Athletic at the DW Stadium on the 5th April, 2014. United took just under 3,500 for the game against the Latics.
Chris and Kevin were tragically murdered while on their travels following The Whites in Europe. The devastating incident took place in Istanbul Turkey on the night before United's UEFA Cup tie against Galatasary on the 5th April, 2000. On the night of the match the United fans in attendance turned their backs in a show of respect and also disgust that the game went ahead despite the horrific murders that took place less than 24 hours before.
