Description:
A great improvement on the season before as Raich Carter's men finished in 4th place for season 1954-55. United just one point off top spot had a very good season with John Charles returning to his centre half position. Despite his return to the defense Charles still managed to bag 11 goals for United. Harold Brook and Albert Nightingale also managed to reach double figures for Leeds with 16 and 13 goals respectively.
