United's second season back in the top flight in season 1933-34 and another respectable finish for Dick Ray's men finishing in 9th place. United scored a memorable victory over Leicester City winning 8-0 in this season with Firth netting twice, Mahon bagging a couple, Duggan scoring twice and also Furness with a couple more. 11,871 fans saw this spectacular victory.
