Description: Ross McCormack United's Scottish International Forward replaces the young Academy graduate Chris Dawson here who was making his debut for United's senior side. The shot coming from the Football League Championship game against Derby County at Elland Road on the 1st April, 2013. Dawson started for Leeds but after 57 minutes was replaced by Ross McCormack who scored a goal against the East Midlands outfit.

Manager Simon Grayson signed Scotland International Ross McCormack from Cardiff City on the 27th August, 2010 for an undisclosed fee. Ross made his debut for the Whites just a day later coming on as substitute in the 70th minute in the 1-0 away win at Watford. United's manager Grayson was delight with the capture of Ross saying: "Ross is a player of good quality.... He's proved in the Championship he can score goals and hopefully he will continue that with us."

Midfielder Chris Dawson is a product of the Leeds United Youth Academy. A local lad from Dewsbury he started the 2012-13 season in United's under-18's and soon progressed to the under-21's where he made 12 appearances scoring seven goals. It was against Derby County at Elland Road on the 1st April, 2013 when manager Neil Warnock gave him his chance with the senior side, Dawson played 57 minutes for The Whites. On the 8th May, 2012-13 Dawson signed a new three year deal for Leeds which will see him at the club until May 2015.
