On The Spot In Bolton

Description: El-Hadji Diouf United's Senegalese Forward and Jamaican Midfielder Rodolph Austin waiting to get the game started here on the Reebok Stadium centre circle. The shot coming from the Football League Championship game against Bolton Wanderers at the Reebok Stadium on the 2nd October, 2012. Both Diouf and Austin played the full game for Leeds against the Trotters.

The United manager Neil Warnock signed El Hadji Diouf the Senegalese international for the Whites on the 9th August, 2012 on a non-contract basis from Doncaster Rovers. Diouf is a controversial figure in the game and came to Elland Road carrying more than his fare share of baggage, the United manager himself referred to Diouf as being 'lower than a sewer rat' after an incident at Ewood Park which saw Jamie Mackie stretchered off with multiple fractures to his leg. The fans at Elland Road were initially split on the decision to sign the Senegal forward but despite that contention he will always get the faithful's support while he is giving 100% in a White shirt. Diouf made his debut appearance for Leeds coming on as substitute in the Football League Cup game against Shrewsbury Town on the 11th August, 2012.

After weeks of speculation manager Neil Warnock finally captured the signature of Rodolph Austin. The Jamaican International Midfielder signed for Leeds on the 23rd July, 2012. Coming from Norwegian outfit SK Brann the tough tackling Midfielder's cost to The Whites was 300k. Austin revealed he always wanted to join United as soon as he heard the Club was interested, with Eirik Bakke his former teammate at Brann and former United Midfielder being a major influence. Rodolph made his debut for Leeds in the Football League Cup game against Shrewsbury Town on the 11th August, 2012. The player days before his debut told the official site: "I can't speak for the fans, but I'm a person who likes to win and I always try and do my best. It's for them to judge me... Fans like players who play with passion and I think it's up to them to be honest, but I'll keep doing what I'm doing."
