O'Dea At The Death

ODea At The Death

Description: The Leeds team celebrate here in front of the Moyes Terrace Stand after Darren O'Dea gives United the lead in the game against The Posh. The shot coming from the Football League Championship game against Peterborough United at London Road Stadium on the 22nd October, 2011. Darren started the game for Leeds and scored the third goal in the game against the Cambridgeshire outfit.

Manager Simon Grayson signed Darren O'Dea from Celtic on the 4th August, 2011 for a season long loan. O'Dea had a trial with Leeds United aged 13 and was given his customary number 48 shirt after the player arrived for real. Darren made his debut for Leeds at the start of the 2011-12 season in the game against Southampton. After the signing was completed the player commented.."I'm delighted to be here. I'd been looking to get away and as soon as I heard of Leeds' interest I had no doubts.... I was on trial here as a 13-year-old and the place was impressive then. It's changed a bit since, but it's a great set-up here and it was an easy decision to make.

Leeds United: Rachubka, Connolly, Lees, O'Dea, White, Vayrynen, Howson, Clayton, Pugh, McCormack, Keogh.
Subs: Sam for Vayrynen, Nunez for McCormack, Becchio for Keogh.

Thanks To: Eric of the West Midland Whites for this great pic.
