Description:
Andrew Lonergan watches here while Leigh Bromby is stretchered from the action. The shot coming from the Football League Championship game against Cardiff City at the Cardiff City Stadium on the 21st April, 2012. It was later confirmed by United that Bromby had suffered a severe injury, Leigh had snapped the Patella tendon in his knee cap. The injury would require surgery and the player could be out of action for up to a year.
Simon Grayson signed Leigh Bromby on the 1st September, 2009. The defender signed for four years for an undisclosed fee. Bromby originally from Dewsbury grew up supporting United and owned a season ticket for many years. Bromby made his debut for the Whites in the 2-0 win over Stockport County at Elland Road played on the 5th September, 2009. "I'm delighted to be here, It's happened pretty quickly, but there was no decision to make really once I knew Leeds were interested. I was brought up a Leeds fan - we had Season Tickets for a lot of years - and my family are all big Leeds fans as well. They are delighted and this is something I want to be a part of."
