Description:
The Leeds United players surround United's Honduran International Midfielder Ramon Nunez in congratulations here after he had just scored his and United's second goal of the game. The shot coming from the Football League Cup 2nd Round game against Doncaster Rovers at the Keepmoat Stadium on the 23rd August, 2011. Nunez played the full ninety minutes for Leeds and scored two goals in the game against the South Yorkshire outfit.
Manager Simon Grayson initially brought Ramon Nunez to Elland Road on trial in August 2010. Nunez scored in his first outing for The Whites in a pre-season friendly against Bradford Park Avenue which prompted the manager to extend his trial period by one week. By the 31st August, 2010 Ramon had showed enough promise to gain him a professional contract, he signed for Leeds in a deal that reached up until January 2011 with an option to extend the contract further at the end. On the 1st January, 2011 despite not playing many games for The Whites manager Grayson revealed he might get a new contract. On the 13th January, 2011 Nunez got a new contract with Leeds that would last up until the end of season 2010-11 with an option of extending it for a further year at the end.
