Description: The United fans here applaud the celebrating Leeds team after Tom Lees scores for The Whites at Bloomfield Road. The shot coming from the Football League Championship game against Blackpool at Bloomfield Road on the 21st August, 2012. Tom played the full ninety minutes and scored a goal for Leeds in the game against the seaside outfit.

Tom Lees born in Warwick is a product of the Youth System at Elland Road and broke into the first team when he featured in United's pre-season friendlies of 2009. Manager Simon Grayson sent him out on loan to Accrington Stanley when the 2009-10 season started to gain match experience. After the season ended Lees returned to Elland Road where he again featured in Leeds' pre-season games but for the 2010-11 was loaned out to Bury for six months for the player to gain more match experience. After impressing at Bury the Leeds Manager Simon Grayson offered Lees a new contract and on the 10th December, 2010 he signed a two and half year contract with The Whites. His loan period was also extended where Lees spent the rest of the season playing first team football for Bury. Lees returned to Elland Road for the season 2011-12 playing in all of United's pre season fixtures. Manager Grayson decided his time had come, he made his debut for Leeds in the FL Cup 1st Round tie against Bradford City at Elland Road on the 9th August, 2011 and just seven days later scored his first goal for Leeds in the Football League Championship game against Hull City at Elland Road.
