Description: Federico Bessone here United's Defender on the right of the pic congratulates fellow Argentine Luciano Becchio after he had just scored the second goal for Leeds. The shot coming from the Football League Championship game against Swansea City at Elland Road on the 11th September, 2010. Federico played the full ninety minutes in the game against the Swans while Luciano was replaced after 86 minutes by Davide Somma.

The Argentinian Becchio was signed by Gary McAllister on the 31st July, 2008 for three years. He impressed the manager with his performances during the 2007-08 pre-season friendlies while on loan from Spanish outfit Merida Union Deportiva. He has since made the number 10 shirt his own.

The Argentinian Federico Bessone became manager Simon Grayson's fourth signing of the Summer, coming from Swansea City on the 16th June, 2010. Grayson signed Bessone on a three year deal and he joins fellow countryman Luciano Becchio at Elland Road. The United manager had watched Bessone the previous season, delighted with the move Grayson said: "He had the opportunity of a contract at Swansea but he turned that down to come and join us..... "We're delighted we've got him..... He's technically a very good player, can pass the ball and defend well enough..."

Leeds United: Higgs, Connolly, Naylor, Collins, Bessone, Gradel, Howson, Kilkenny, Johnson, Becchio, Watt.
Subs: Sam for Watt, McCormack for Kilkenny, Somma for Becchio.
