The Cheese Wrapper

Submitted: 10/17/12 (Edited 10/17/12)
Description: The exterior of South East corner caught in this one from the Elland Road point of view. The shot coming from the Football League Championship game against Barnsley at Elland road on the 6th October, 2012. The South East corner known around Elland Road as the Cheese Wedge because of the yellow seats was once the stand allocated to the visiting supporters. It was decided early in the season of 2011-12 to re-locate the away supporters who visited Elland Road to the south of the West Stand. The area has an allocation of around 3,000 for visitors leaving the entire South Stand and South East corner or the Cheese Wedge for the United supporters. The first game that saw this re-location was the match against Portsmouth on the 1st October, 2011. According to officials at the Club the move proved a success. A new compound for visiting coaches was also used for the first time situated on Fullerton Park adjacent to the new away turnstiles.

Leeds United: Kenny, Peltier, Pearce, Lees, White, Byram, Austin, Brown, Tonge, Diouf, Becchio.
Subs: Norris for Tonge, Gray for Becchio.
