Description:
The North East Corner at Elland Road was built in 1970 at a cost of £200,000. This corner stand would eventually join the East Stand which was built in 1993 helping further streamline Elland Road, although before the East Stand there was a gap between the North East Stand and the Lowfields upper tier. The lower tier of the North East originally had terracing and was used to house the junior supporters at Elland Road, the stand was known as the Boys Pen. After the recommendations in the Taylor Report that was published in January 1990 the lower tier of the North East stand was made all seater.
