A South Stand View
This one from a packed South Stand at Elland Road watching the action on the pitch. The shot coming from the Football League Championship game against Sheffield Wednesday at Elland Road on the 13th April, 2013.

The South Stand at Elland Road was built in 1974 at a cost of 500,000. It replaced the old but popular barrel roofed Scratching Shed and came with state of the art facilities. The South Stand originally had a standing area at the front with a 4,000 capacity and a further 3,500 fans could be seated in the upper tier. The South Stand has 32 executive boxes and in 2006 underwent further developments which included a new facade which boxed in the existing columns and alcoves giving the stand a more modern exterior. Also an overhall of the kitchen concourse area, a new mezzanine level office area, a total modernisation of the corporate facilities above and the Billy's Bar And Brasserie, named after Billy Bremner.

Leeds United: Kenny, Byram, Pearce, Warnock, Drury, Norris, Green, Austin, Varney, McCormack, Morison.
Subs: Diouf/Norris, White/Morison, Tonge/Warnock.

Thanks to: Steve for this great pic.

Original Crest
One of the first crests rendered by WAFLL here. I've always been a fan of the Leeds City crest as our badge, it's our longest serving badge up to date and believe it should make a comeback. A lot of United fans don't like the idea, the smiley has always been a favourite amongst a large number of fans so this effort was to try and bring the two together. Unfortunately the Smiley gets lost in this one and I quickly dismissed it in favour of the 'Smiley Crest'.

Lowfields Remembered
Vintage Elland Road. A superb look at the old Lowfields Stand taken from the Gelderd End behind the goals. The Lowfields Stand was erected in the 1920's and the lower tier terracing ran the entire length of the East side of Elland Road. The seated upper tier with roof stretched over half the distance of the terracing. In 1992 the Lowfields Stand was demolished to make way for the new all seater East Stand.

Thanks to Quiffy for this great pic.

We're Leeds United
A Leeds United shirt here left by the owner with message at the feet of the Billy bremner Statute in support of the Flower Protest 2007. The words on the shirt read "We're Leeds United, We'll Never Be Defeated" MOT, WACCOE.

The Flower protest was created against a backdrop of one of the darkest periods in Leeds United's history. A time when the club was very close to going completely out of business and thus ending any representation for the City of Leeds in the Football League. It was an anonymous Leeds United fan who belonged to the Ultra's, a Leeds United supporters group, that came up with the idea. The Flower Protest was a concerted effort by the United faithful organised through the various Leeds United forum's on the internet and in particular WACCOE. It had the aim of showing love and support through the club's darkest hour with a display of flowers and club colours that should be laid around the Billy statue. The first shirt and flowers were laid on the 20th July by WACCOE user Bilks and the display soon gathered momentum as the word spread round. Fans of other teams showed their support and some offered their own colours at the Bremner statute, the media were also soon to pick up on the protest with local and national news teams reporting on the story.
